| 121897 | 2003-02-17 03:52:00 | In many operation in Outlook, particularly backing up using export function, I am unable to complete operation, and Outlook comes back with Errors have been detected, quit mail applications and use Inbox repair tool. I have one particularly message from Max Newman (thanks Xtra) in the deleted folder which I am unable to delete. Comes back with same message as above. Is this related? | 121898 | 2003-02-17 04:31:00 | Hi Aj Search your computer for the file scanpst.exe and run it. This is the Inbox repair tool. Quit all operating programs before you run it and be prepared to wait a while if your outlook.pst file is big. Where ever you find it, just double click to start it running. You will find that it runs through multiple cycles and sometimes you may have to run it several times to get things right. If you want to play safe, make a backup copy of Outlook.pst and keep it safe somewhere else until you are satisfied that all is well with the original file. BTW, sometimes you just can't delete a file from your outlook Inbox. That's life:( That's computing :( :( Cheers Billy 8-{) :D |
