| 121665 | 2003-02-16 08:19:00 | I have just recovered from a computer catastrophe. New computer and reinstalled everything W98SE. I have noticed now when I go to explorer, windows temporary internet files there is nothing there anymore. Pre crash I used to go in there and clean out the files along with cookies and temp files. I think my browser is slow what has changed. I have version 6.028 of explorer. Can anyone help please? Thanks Ted Heath |

| 121667 | 2003-02-16 09:21:00 | On any Win PC I support I always untick "hide file extensions of known file type" as it is one way viruses can find there way onto a PC because some use a double extension with the first one being innocent. I don't really see the point in hiding them anyway. I don't use IE but they did say that the internet is very slow and I wonder if it is keeping a cache. |
