121847 2003-02-17 03:44:00 A while back I installed a program which claimed to speed up Kazaa Downloads (and of course it didn't), so I uninstalled it.

Now, whenever I startup my computer the Kaza folder opens. It gets extremely annoying.

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

121848 2003-02-17 05:09:00 Hi Loopy

I'm no expert on this but since nobody else has responded, here are my suggestions.

1) Download Adaware6 and run it to clean out spyware from your files and registry

If that doesn't do it:

2) Take a look in your startup files and delete anything that relates to kazaa.

Kazaa is known to come with a payload of spyware and any program that is associiated with Kazaa is also suspect.

My bet is that Adaware will fix it.

Cheers

121849 2003-02-17 06:10:00 I would also look at the startup tab in msconfig.

Start > Run > type in msconfig > press enter > StartUp Tab > have a look in there as to what programs are loading at start up and remove the ticks from those you don't want running > Apply/OK and reboot.

You want to know what all those programs are doing at startup check these two links.

On the first link just change the the _m to what ever letter you want to look up.
