121683 2003-02-16 09:07:00 Hi
95% of my e-mails now seem to be 'forwarded' cutesy, motivational, funny, rude or whatever messages. Getting each one once is bearable but unfortunately I'm getting the same ones over and over again and of course they take a bloody age to download. Is there a setting I can use in Netscape that I can configure to automatically return these errant messages to the sender with an appropriate message? (Hmm, I suppose I'd still have to download them to return them anyway? Humph!)

Why don't you simply notify your 'friends' that forward the e-mails saying you don't want to receive them? That way you will save them the hassle of forwarding them to you when they think you enjoy receiving them.

121685 2003-02-16 09:15:00 Oggy,

I recommend you download, install and configure Mailwasher available from Mailwasher (http://www.mailwasher.net). This product will definitely help in minimising your 'extra' mail. Documentation about the product is also available from their site.

I use Mailwasher myself and paid up to register although you can just use the free version if you wish. This is an NZ product and very highly regarded.

Cheers, Babe.

Thanks Babe, sounds like just the ticket!

121688 2003-02-18 02:20:00 LOL, why don't you give them a taste of their own medicine, and repetitively fwd them back non-stop one night when you are bored with nothing better to do.

They might get the message

121689 2003-02-18 03:22:00 They might enjoy it. Some people are like that. They probably watch TV advertisements, too. They might even watch the programmes. Graham L (2)
121690 2003-02-18 04:04:00 worst one I ever had was a 4MB video of a dancing cat.

I'm so glad no one I know sends that kind of stuff.
