| 122112 | 2003-02-17 21:37:00 | I recently completed transferring my Win 98 SE and other items from an old system to a newer/faster box. As part of the settling in and housekeeping I ran a variety of tools including a visit to pcpitstop. Since the housekeeping, the system runs like a fire engine but.. when I run Start/Shutdown/Shutdown, I get the same response as when I run Start/Shutdown/Restart. I have to deprive the machine of power to actually shutown. Any help appreciated. |

It results from your system being too fast for the hard disk. The patch will slow down your shut down so that the hard disk has time. |
