121961 2003-02-17 08:55:00 I want to know how to do the blank character that doesnt show up, like what Sal has used on his name.

Also, there is one that can be used that basically creates a new line.

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks

121962 2003-02-17 08:58:00 alt and 0173

use the keypad to the right of your keyboard for the 0173 part, not the numbers along the top row.

121964 2003-02-17 09:08:00 The easiest way to find other charactors is to use charactor map - try start > Run > Charmap, if that doesn't work then you need to load it from your windows CD - its under the system tools heading (well it is on win ME anyway)

Once you have charmap running just pick the font you are using (else you could get something completely different to what you're expecting!) and have a peek at all the pretty piccies :D

I use Charmap anyways, that's how I found out how to do:

121967 2003-02-18 08:28:00 The new line is 0010 or 0013 I forget which because I used to use them in combination when programing in Turbo Pascal years ago (I think it was 0010 though). One is new line and the other return mikebartnz (21)

121969 2003-02-18 08:35:00 Hmm... doesnt appear to have worked sorry.

Its for use insingle-line edit-boxes like the MSN name input, so that when displayed in a multi-line edit-box its on a new line.

I dont want it for MSN, but Im using that to test it.

I think that makes sense... ?¿? ;-)

121970 2003-02-18 08:44:00 Just checked an old file and used to use #10#13 to send a line feed and then a carriage return to the printer. Just tried 0013 here and it worked. mikebartnz (21)
