122572 2003-02-25 09:51:00 Hi cadifan & Billy T

I have added a few more test patterns, so cadifan can check his monitor, but at my http://www.oh-bugger.net.nz web site

Now all I need to do is stop been procrastinated and add a theme to oh-bugger web site

(is the spell checker still working? it did not stop on my spelling.)

Should I amend my link in the monitor FAQs or will you be updating your home site?

This is really useful stuff, but could you add a black and white chequerboard? That would be great for showing up flaring effects and should show blue fringing if Cadifan's problem is what I think it might be.

Cheers

PS Nice to see you back again.

OK Billy T
I am sure my java level can cope with that request. (now I wonder how I could use a lot of classes with the program)

Would you like the squares the same size as the crosshatch or maybe four times the size, 9 times might be too big, to be honest I might only get a couple of monitor to fix a month,

And I love doing the 1000 volt insulation test on them, I have not need so far to tell the Electrical workers registration board yet that they are CORRECT and I should not be doing the insulation test on computer monitors, The only appliance they told me as except from such a test.

122575 2003-02-26 06:19:00 Hi E.ric

About cross-hatch size would be best I think.

Dunno about the insulation test, ?:| I never heard of any exemptions and they just changed the law and there's no exemptions there either.

Life's too short for that kind of problem. Personally I'd test regardless, I'd hate to be the first person to fry a geek. :D

Cheers

122576 2003-02-26 08:34:00 Hi Billy T

OK test drive that, I have never found that pattern very useful, that is why I never included it on the first menu . I think my Java code needs a try up now, but I can do that behind the scene .

Now about that paradise web site . I no longer nave access to it due to me closing the account over the "Junk mail" incident, were I got sick of junk mail .

It is good you fixed up my word to "exemptions" I think it got converted by the spell checker .

122577 2003-02-26 09:20:00 Hi E.ric

Actually, except was correct in the context that you used it. I wouldn't presume to correct a fellow poster's spelling, I make enough mistakes myself. (Too much of a hurry to proof read sometimes.)

I went to your Paradise site the other day and it was still working, so when do you expect it to be closed?

Re the chequer board test pattern, I always found it a good low frequency test that forced some video faults to appear more clearly.

Cheers
