122557 2003-02-20 19:38:00 What program do you want your .jpg files to open with ? Are you still wanting them to open in ACDSee ? If so, do you still have ACDSee on your computer (ie, you have not uninstalled it have you ? ).

Assuming you want to open your .jpg files in ACDSee, go to Windows Explorer and find a .jpg graphic file.
? Left click on it.
? Now hold down your Shift key and keep holding it down.
? Now right click on the .jpg icon and in the menu choose "Open With".
? You can let go of the Shift key now.
? In the list of programs look for ACDSee and click on it.
? Click in the little box next to "Always use this program to open this type of file" so that a tick appears.
? Now click OK.

If you did all this and ACDSee is still running properly on your computer you should now be able to double-click on a .jpg file and ACDSee will open with that picture.

If this still does not happen, repeat the process but choose Internet Explorer instead of the ACDSee program to open (look for "iexplore") and see if that works. If it does then there is a problem with your ACDSee program that needs addressing. 		Susan B (19)

Thank you Susan B. I appreciate your sense of humour.....to suggest that I had not installed ACDsee was a real laugh regulating meeeee to the kindergarten!! and yourself to the lofty height of mentor Press F1.....and computer Clown as well....?????
However I did find your instruction easy to follow even if it is the first time I have ever done a left click and right click simultaneously.....I now have my icons in the PAINT format because I CAN NOT Find ACDsee. I definitely have the program on computer as well as PICTURE IT which a few weeks ago was my icon format..... so if any one can explain what may have happened.......please advise....but remember words of less than 6 letters as it will be long before I graduate.......sincere thanks Susy Beeeee..... 		olldaddy76 (2539)
