122503 2003-02-20 09:16:00 One feels you are in accord that it is a hardware prob?I will do as you say of course and once again thank you all. Thomas (1820)
122504 2003-02-20 09:17:00 And in answer to your second question... I think you are referring to King Richard III: Act 2 Scene 1... thus spake Gloucester... "A blessed labour, my most sovereign liege: Amongst this princely heap, if any here, By false intelligence, or wrong surmise, Hold me a foe"

Does that really make sense??? Something to ponder whilst cleaning yon Mus musculus...

122505 2003-02-21 04:15:00 When I first had this problem, I was quite impressed by the nice little "tyres" on the rollers. :D I was surprised when I was told that that was the problem.

In case someone didn't get my rerefence to sunny days, many mice did not work in strong sunlight. The movement of the rollers is counted by infrared led/photodiode units. Strong sunlight could swamp out the internal IR. A jumpy effect could be caused by sunlight coming through venetian blinds.

Most manufacturers will have fixed that now. I hope. :D
