122435 2003-02-20 20:53:00 sorry dudess ;-)

i would give adaware a run and get rid of hotbar for starters.

what motherboard and what sound card do you have?
what video card do you have?
cpu and case temp?
is dma enabled for the hardrives?
what size powersupply?
check the hardrive cable, is it an 80 wire? what hardrive?

sorry random problems are always hard to fix but i would give the hardware a check over first.

122436 2003-02-20 21:22:00 You should definitely check your BIOS settings and RAM type to ensure your computer is addressing the correct amount and type of RAM you have.
As your computer initially runs ok it would seem to suggest the problem occurs when addressing higher memory areas or when page swapping large amounts of data.

Is the motherboard/RAM combination correct. If your RAM is too slow for you computer you will encounter memory errors as things start happening too fast for your old RAM. This would be the case if you upgraded your CPU/motherboard and installed old RAM, especially into your second or third RAM slots.

You should boot windows into safe mode and run it for a while just to remove the possibility of a software glitch which I doubt it is as that build of Windows/IE is pretty stable (by Microsoft standards..)

122437 2003-02-21 05:16:00 My strong feeling is: It's new and it should work . That's what guarantees are for . "Them who built it are them who fix it . "

Such streams of error messages are not normal . Even from Windows . :D

There is a hardware problem . It might be an underpowered power supply . It might be faulty memory (less likely if a warm start doesn't initiate a repeat of the crash) .

That's not a cheap machine . You deserve one that works .
