| 122353 | 2003-02-19 02:11:00 | Hi Team Preparing for the big event (installation and christening of my new Samsung CD-RW) I came across this CD-RW FAQ (http://www.cdrfaq.org/) and it is so comprehensive I thought we could link it via our own FAQ section. Using a link will mean that it is always up to date. It covers just about everything topic you can imagine, and I am sure it will be of help to many users of PF1. Cheers Billy 8-{) :D |

| 122356 | 2003-02-19 03:27:00 | Looks pretty good Billy and I agree that it would be good to have a link to it in the FAQs. I have bookmarked it just in case it does not end up there. One problem I can envisage though, is that quite a few people might get a bit miffed at being sent there when they ask a CD-R/CD-RW/DVD question and see how much they have to wade through to find their answer. After all, most people come here for a quick and dirty answer, don't they? :p :D I think it should still go in the FAQs though. |

| 122357 | 2003-02-19 03:38:00 | Hi Susan I thought of it as more of an in-depth resource that we might advise someone to consult if they needed more information that the reply given. I didn't see it as a substitute for a personal answer. I haven't even begun to plumb the depths of this resource as the links go down many layers. I have just surfaced from a fascinating half- hour of reading that was genuinely valuable. However, I have found that some deeper links are out of date but what the heck, there is enough info there to keep anybody happy. Cheers Billy 8-{) |

I have now spent a little more time mining down through the links and there is genuinely a lot of useful information for all users, from newbies to experienced. If it disappears off the bottom of the current page it will be lost to all except those who bookmarked it. Do we email Bruce or robo or what? Cheers Billy 8-{) :| |

For this one I suggest you start a new thread, title it similar to the others (eg FAQ #50 Tips for CD-R/CD-RW/DVD writers), add the url to the site's FAQ homepage and put in a bit of info about what there is to find there . Once that is done, give Bruce a buzz by email and he will do the rest . :-) |
