| 122739 | 2003-02-21 01:09:00 | Here's the story a mate of mine just picked up a copy of Black and White for himself, and can't figure out why it doesn't like his PC. I don't know enough about hardware to be sure, but I beleive his Graphics adapter isn't an 8Mb D3D device. Does anyone out there know much about the Matrox MGA Mystique? I've tried going thru tech support at the matrox site, but they don't even mention it, and he got the computer second hand, so talking to the vendor isn't really possibility. Any help? | ambasluv (1414) | ||

If your mate's PC has an AGP slot, best bang for buck would be a Geforce2. If the PC doesn't have an AGP slot, I believe you can get PCI GF2s, otherwise take a look around on TradeMe (http://www.trademe.co.nz) for a Voodoo3. Of course, if cash is no problem then a Geforce4 Ti or Radeon 9700 series would be the way to go. :) |
