122888 2005-01-09 03:17:00 Partion magic may help
Or use your winXP pro or win2000 CD to format.
win98 disk won't pick it up, as the file system it uses is FAT32..
How can I chage the ntfs partion to fat32 by using winxp or win2000 cd?Presently winxp is installed on the system.
OK ONE SIMPLE QESTION "CAN WE CHANGE THE NTFS PARTION TO FAT32 WHILE LOADING WINXP", THE OPTION COMES DO YOU WANT TO FORMAT THE EXISTING DRIVE".

FYI, you cannot change backward with Microsoft, you can go FAT32 to NTFS, but not the other way. I believe you can do it with Partition Magic 8 , but it is not a free program, and there is still a risk it could all turn to custard. You will then lose everything and have to reformat and reload Windows. So you will need to backup first.
