| 123006 | 2003-02-21 10:59:00 | Sorry to any microsoft lovers (do they exist) but Ive just seen another one of microsofts stupid acts. I have just been at the windows update site and too my descust in the XP updates section i saw .NET Framework (here comes the stupid bit) japanese version. May i just ask microsoft who of people with an english version of win xp would want the japanese version of the .net frameworks. ok i grant that there may be just a 0.0001% of thoughs people may want it but im sure that doesnt grant puting it on the automated update site. surely the very small minority wouldnt mind spending 5 secs searching for .NET Framework Japanese edition. Now that bref frenzy of typing is over what are the rest of your thoughts on this matter? |

Who would know, why don't you email MS and ask them why. There will be a valid reason. Just cause you don't have a use for it dosen't mean anyone else dosen't and should be penalised. At least they ARE updating. |

I believe if you want a language pack for winXP you can get it. Some people might get it. Those people who do get it are at risk, hence there is a patch. I would think the patch is critical for English versions with a Japanese Language Pack onboard. Hence the patch is on the site where you don't want to see it. If you look at the site, you don't have to DL the patch, so WTF do you care?:| Radz:p |
