Therefore you can send an e-mail to a site that has an IP address and that the cellphone (WAP enabled) could access and view the e-mail, but not a pure PC to Phone email service . I believe this has been in operation for years . GPRS may make this closer to reality perhaps? |

| 122759 | 2003-02-21 04:57:00 | My email address at Vodafone is 6421XXXXXX@sms.vodafone.net.nz I set it up through Vodafone after complaining of their 027 to 021 txt service being slow. (XXXXXX - is obviously my cell number) There is a cost involved, and I have it charged back at 20c per email to my account. So it's free to send the email, but I pay for receiving it as a txt msg. | 122760 | 2003-02-21 06:03:00 | About 2 years ago I set up an email account on Vodafone. I have a prepay Vodafone and simply used the Vodafone NZ web site. Anyone at all could send me a text message using email, from anywhere in the world. I set it up as an experiment and recall that two of my friends overseas sent me email to my Vodafone.
