1330841 2013-03-01 23:54:00 Got a win7 HP system here getting this message after start up.

Failed to connect to a windows service.
Windows could not connect to the group policy client service.

Have tryed several solutions from google but haven't fixed it yet.
Any advice would be appreciated.

1330842 2013-03-02 00:06:00 Might be a registry prob. See the reply from P.I.X (answers.microsoft.com). He has also posted the fix on youtube (www.youtube.com) Speedy Gonzales (78)
1330843 2013-03-02 02:10:00 Thanks Speedy.
That is an excellent tutorial on youtube.
It appeared to be the answer & made the changes, but the message was still there after restart.
I looked in computer management services.
The Group Policy Client is stopped & set to manual.

1330845 2013-03-02 02:28:00 All of those settings were greyed out.
Good news though.

Tried this
