1330207 2013-02-26 19:55:00 If it's just .NET try downloading it directly from Microsoft. You may have to uninstall your existing version also.

If no updates are happening check the date settings, microsoft don't allow updating for people living in the past or future.

1330208 2013-02-26 21:14:00 Those files can be a pain to install. Because they can corrupt themselves. Or wont work, (or updates wont install) if the previous installs were installed in the wrong order. Look in C:\windows\softwaredistribution folder. Open the reportingevents txt file. Copy and paste some of the lines at the bottom. That'll usually tell you the reason and what the error is Speedy Gonzales (78)
1330209 2013-03-04 10:13:00 Sorry speedy I can't copy and paste as when I highlight the part I want it just zooms over to the left of the page which is the total history of all downlaods. Anyway, the last few lines show the error KB982524. When I go to the Microsoft site to get the updates it tells me I cannot view the page until I download an ActiveX control . How do I get that? dianne pierce (13385)
1330210 2013-03-04 19:33:00 It may mean enable it like this?? (help.yahoo.com) Speedy Gonzales (78)
1330211 2013-03-06 09:47:00 They are enabled as directed above speedy but when I go to the Microsoft update site and scan for updates it gives the message that I need to install an activeX control and the recommended instruction is to go to the information bar and selct install active x control. When I do this there is no option to install it dianne pierce (13385)
1330212 2013-03-06 09:55:00 Try the post by gotommygo here. It maybe disabled (forums.techguy.org) Speedy Gonzales (78)
1330213 2013-03-08 05:30:00 tried every suggestion in gotommygo - still won't update them and i can't do them manually as the micorosft site tells me I need an ActiveX Control and says to right click the information bar but when I do I am not given that option dianne pierce (13385)
1330214 2013-03-08 18:45:00 Get teamviewer if you want. And I'll see if I can get it to install. If you get it install it. Then give me the ID and pw it gives you in a PM. So, I can log in Speedy Gonzales (78)
