| 1329868 | 2013-02-25 09:58:00 | Unless things have changed it is the chipset that is important - unfortunately manufacturers tend to change the WLAN card chipset without changing the model name on the box. This means (or at least used to mean??) that you can go and purchase a particular model that works fine, pass on the details (say) a month later to your friend who buys the "same" one and it does not work. According to some articles, it should be natively supported by Linux kernel And it was !! :D Plug and play, no configuration required in openELEC 1.02 other than to change WLAN0 to WLAN1. Updated to openELEC 2.0 and things are sweet (Incidentally: this network adapter replaced a Linksys WUSBGC Ver 3 which was also plug and play - after I had set up encryption etc of course) |
