| 1304800 | 2012-10-03 00:39:00 | I have been looking at doing something similar to what this guy did for his lumia www.youtube.com on my S2. Really simple mod actually, an inductance coil from a Palm Touchstone soldered onto the +/- 5v USB rail and you're done. Biggest challenge would be space inside the i9100, i'd have to to a little cutting :D Only thing I'm not sure about is if I can use the Touchstone coil with other wireless chargers (powermat etc) Also, if I did manage to go ahead with it does anyone have a wireless charging station I could borrow for a day or so to test (in the somewhat near/distant future) The S2 probably isn't a good choice for this though!! Not much room at ALL in there! Anyway, regardless of what happens the idea is cool for those who want to follow through with it. Hopefully wireless charging gets a good standard established avoiding the need for all those cables and chargers!! |
