1304383 2012-10-01 07:28:00 Is there a prize for guessing correctly what it is?

My first guess is an opener of some kind but what is the top part used for?

Is it in fact upside down.

1304386 2012-10-01 07:43:00 May be some sort of multipurpose culinary tool a bit like the tools for getting oranges ready to eat.

Made in Sweden, stainless steel, the part with the serrations is a loop and tapered so that things can pass through the middle onto the blade, no part is particularly sharp but could cut fruit or soft flesh possible.

1304387 2012-10-01 07:48:00 Looks like an old fruit corer. The handle is too small for heavy duty work.

Edit: Second thoughts, the end is too broad for pushing into fruit.
