1329807 2013-02-26 04:55:00 PC - HDMI Cable - TV

Wireless keyboard and mouse.

Done.

Has the advantage of me being able to play videos/movies etc on my computer in full screen and full 5.1

Use Xbox as well but does not play all formats on my media server so I usually end up turning it off and using PC instead with VLC player.

My limited experience with net on TV's is that it is a flipping pain.

1329808 2013-02-26 05:13:00 What formats are your files in for the Xbox DD?? This bluray player here, is meant to support Youtube. I'm not exactly sure if that means MP4's from Youtube (which do work - if you plug a flash drive into it with some on it). Or whether (once you connect it wirelessly or by Ethernet), its got a browser in it somewhere. I could use the tuner in this, and stream it to the Xbox which works fine. But cant get all the channels, since the signal is too weak for some of them

I could use Youtube/IE on the Xbox, (too bad MS didnt make an adblocker for it), but theyre not free. Unless you've got a gold sub

Only things it wont play are .vob files (which are DVD back-ups) and .MKV files. Plays everything else I've thrown at it.

If your streaming HD content just make sure your router is up to the job - most routers I've used can't handle the jandel and come to a grinding halt every 10 minutes to buffer the video. But that is HD signal from laptop - wireless to router - wireless to Xbox so quite a load for it really. Plugging PC direct into router usually helps if your router is getting on a bit.

With Xbox you have a YouTube app... so you can watch youtube clips full screen etc.

1329810 2013-02-26 06:42:00 Yup Xbox has Youtube. But I dont think you'll get there if you dont have a gold sub. Wireless isnt too bad with this. Since its wireless N so is the router. But some games their servers are too crappy, you get cut off too soon Speedy Gonzales (78)
