1304119 2012-09-30 22:52:00 With buying, I have bought off TM before, all usual buying practices come to play, good feedback no dodgy wording/offers etc etc.

+1. I bought used off TM several times - I was able to enjoy a higher spec phone for a reasonable and much lower price. I've bought a RAZR, several Samsung Smartphones, and never got stung.

You can also get other bargains if you check around - check out Pricespy (pricespy.co.nz) I bought my Nokia Lumia 800 from one of their listings (Expert Infotech Ltd) $900 retail for $620. The vendor had a retail shop, everything was above board. Full warranty as well.

:D

Bugga! I see the same Nokia Lumia 800 is now listed in Pricespy at $445.

1304120 2012-09-30 23:29:00 Expert Infotech are great seeing that Walone mentions them, got my Laptop from there. Great service and comepletely Legit ( I think :p) It was a Dv7 6015tx, I wanted a US Spec model but HP required a US credit card to buy it, even though I was getting it sent to myself when I was over there bloody mad at that, to get the equivelent would have cost me $2400 NZD (it was only $1000 US through HP!!) EIT had a similar spec model for $1600 ish i7 2GHz Sand B gfx and everything.

I'd have a look on ebay for a Gnex or lumia ;) I'm buying a Gnex on behalf of a friend from ebay this week. Several going for 2-300 USD

1304121 2012-09-30 23:40:00 I'd personally get one off Pricespy than TradeMe, but have bought once or twice in the past from TradeMe (A long time ago) with no issues.
I wouldn't care about location, just get it couriered to you if you're on a budget and can get one from further away.

1304123 2012-10-01 00:49:00 It'll eventually come down a bit, yes.

Thought of looking at the Galaxy Nexus instead perhaps?

I hope so to to since I paid $1050 for my S3. I used to buy second hand nokias 6210s and Music express models from TM because I was wrecking them every few months. Either by falling out of my top pocket when climbing up digger booms and cranes or drenched in oil which wrecks the mic tel. Now I will buy a new Samsung everytime they bring out a new model and pay other waxheads to climb up stupid machines.

I haven't used them myself, they are parallel importers but I hear they are ok. the website says they offer a 1 year local warranty service but it'd pay to check up on that if you buy from them. Just another option.

1304128 2012-10-01 01:47:00 The power of the S3 is kind of a waste. There is a MASSIVE range of devices and devs want to target as many as possible whilst retaining good performance. The likes of the S3 are at the top of the food chain yet there are still devices like the S1 and the xperia they have to cater for.

The great thing about the nexus is it takes all the great stuff about the galaxy and makes it better. It will do everything the S3 can do (exept Teamviewer.. because thats TouchWiz Only :p) The other good thing is the Gnex is cheaper. about $500 on pricespy brand new. Cheaper 2nd hand overseas.

Either way, no matter what you choose you won't be dissappointed by the phone, only by the price (we can NEVER get thinks cheap enough :D)
