| 123452 | 2003-02-23 21:28:00 | Hi Press F1 Has anyone applied this group policy change to get XP PCs to wait for the network before logging in (So that they do not log in if their password has expired): To cause Windows XP to always wait for network initialization, and behave like Windows 2000 clients in this regard, use Group Policy to navigate to Computer Configuration / Administrative Templates / System / Logon. Double-click Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon and Enable this policy. It is not in my default template on my Windows 2000 server SP3 Group policy. The other option I had was to load Windows XP SP1 on the workstations, but this causes multiple openings of Word documents for Office XP users and does not seem to have been resolved yet by Microsoft regards Marty |
