| 123401 | 2003-02-23 08:38:00 | opened ms photo editor, clicked on scan image, message appears in window microsoft photo editor acquisition error unable to open selected TWAIN source if your scanner is a twain compliant scanner please reinstall the software for that scanner scanner is canon - canoscan LiDE20/LiDE30 this problem occurred today - scanner has been operating perfectly up to now - have reinstalled the program (twice) but error continues -- anyone tell me what the "twain source" is please and how to get passed that window message? -- thanks, in anticipation |

| 123402 | 2003-02-23 10:17:00 | the error could be a result of lots of things Could you supply us with your computer specs (like OS for a start). afaik the twain drivers are the things that interact with scanners/camera's etc. maybe a virus has corrupted the files or someone has deleted files from your pc. i can not see no specific solution sorry. |

| 123403 | 2003-02-25 03:05:00 | It's a USB scanner. I don't think USB is quite stable and perfect yet. :D Try installing the software again (with the scanner not plugged in). Then plug the scanner in. It probably does has a TWAIN driver. That is a piece of software which gives all sorts of imaging hardware a uniform interface which image-processing programmes can handle. The application programme is complaining because TWAIN is the only thing it knows ... the actual hardware is hidden from it. |
