Enabled the recieve button Had some send me a Fax My "Fax Monitor - showed below Ready to Receive Faxes Ringing Ringing Answered Reception error Ready to receive faxes - bugger Has anyone out there successfully used this system to successfully receive faxes ?? ie got past "that" reception error Or did you giveup and buy a standalone Fax Or buy a fax program-better still a free one Thankyou Ruralross |

| 123363 | 2003-02-23 06:35:00 | I have had no problem receiving a fax on my PC. Have used Bitware which came with the modem on a previous PC and found it excellent. Am now using PhoneTools which came with my present modem and it works ok. On someone elses PC I set up Nortons fax software and found that pretty good but have never used Win2000 fax software so can't help there. You can also set up some of the programs to take voice mail too. |

| 123364 | 2003-02-23 07:11:00 | Thankyou Mike -Shall wait in the hope that someone user my 2000pro and conexant modem has overcome my "Reception Error" fault !! Bitware and Nortons sound like likely solutions if all else fails-are they free-or pay Ware ?? |

| 123365 | 2003-02-23 07:54:00 | I have not come across any windows fax software that is free but that doesn't mean there isn't any. In some cases it could be cheaper to buy a new modem to get the fax software that comes with it rather than pay just for the software. | mikebartnz (21) | ||
