| 123311 | 2003-02-23 03:50:00 | Recently, when I open a .doc in Word (2000) I am unable to select text by the 'click and drag' method. But, if I close the .doc by clicking on the tool-bar, then re-open by again clicking on the tool-bar I can select and underline as normal. The only changes I remember making in the last few-weeks days was to delete the 'normal.dot' . Can anyone please suggest how to overcome this anoyance? |

| 123312 | 2003-02-23 05:09:00 | The normal.dot template replaces itself with a nice clean one if it is deleted. If you suspect the new template is playing up - exit word, delete it again, re-enter word and see if it still does it. Can you select text with the keyboard (Hold down shift and use the arrows)? |
