| 123648 | 2003-02-25 00:09:00 | HI Guys I have an old Pentium 133 computer that I want to give to a relative but it does not have a CD ROM . I have taken an old CD (Teac 55A) drive from another old chugger, along with its related sound card (SoundBlaster 16) and installed it into the Pentium 133 . The problem is I cannot make it go . The device manager says that the CD is OK . The first couple of times I tried to activate the CD the screen turned to a muddy maize of dots and the computer hung . Now if I try to use Explorer or access the CD the computer hangs for a short time then reboots . Can anyone help me with this problem? Cheers Oldfart |
