123493 2003-02-24 07:11:00 what video card, what drivers and what OS ?? tweak'e (174)
123494 2003-02-24 07:25:00 NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440, win XP Pro
Driver files= nv4_mini.sys and nv4_disp.dll

I have had the game going before (awhile ago) things have obviously changed. I had the same trouble when I first tried to play it but can't remember how I got it going..must have been something something done?

123497 2003-02-24 07:43:00 Not too sure about the OpenGL error, might have something to do with a missing driver? http://www.opengl.org I think, the downloads are about 50MB to install, and if your graphics card doesn't support OpenGL then it's a waste of time to download the latest OpenGL driver.

You might also like to get rid of the "fov" entry in the file "autoexec.cfg", as it is unrecognised, and it appears the it tries to exec "localized.cfg" except it can't, most likely because it doesn't exist.

Also, this error:

...35 PFDs found
...GLW_ChoosePFD failed
...failed to find an appropriate PIXELFORMAT

which almost seems to say, to me, that you've selected the wrong 3D/graphics settings for the game. Try going to the graphics options for the game and fiddle around with things like what mode you're using (OpenGL, Direct3D, and Software are common), and what drivers, if any.

123498 2003-02-24 08:00:00 i suggest you update your video drivers as yours are some what old. hopefully that may fix it. tweak'e (174)
123499 2003-02-24 21:02:00 This might sound weird but when you had the game running a while ago was it on a 3dfx board (such as a Voodoo3) and have you recently upgraded to a GeForce4?

It looks like Medal of Honour is trying to initiate Glide:
...restoring display settings
...WARNING: could not set the given mode (3)

...WARNING: missing Glide installation, assuming no 3Dfx available

This would explain the above lines (mode3 being glide). As a guess I'd say mode 1 would be software and mode2 directx.

Glide is 3dfx's (now defunct) proprietary 3d standard. It was big 5-7 years ago but has now been superceeded by DirectX and OpenGL.
Try to figure out if there is some way to set the display settings without loading the game. Most games have a pre-start settings editor. If you find it set the graphics driver to software and try loading.
Software 3d will work on anything but will be as slow as a dog. Once you've got the game going change the graphic setting to DirectX or OpenGL.

If you can't find out how to change the settings uninstall the software and try a reinstall....

Hope this is helpful.

123501 2003-02-25 10:04:00 JUST WONDERING IF HAVE YOU EVER HAD IT GOING BEFORE?? (oops caps on)
because if you have just re install it
if not just download it off some else (if you download it of someone else they will have it allredy installed and will work strate away(you may have to set you sound and video))
