| 123487 | 2003-02-24 05:17:00 | My daughter is having problems getting music to load on to a Compaq MP3 player. We are using Musicmatch to create playlists, on a P3/500 running WinXP Home. Everything is correctly hooked up, but it just doesn't want to work! I have learned that there may be compatibility issues between Musicmatch and XP, but nothing definite. Has anyone experience of using similar equipment, or had problems and come up with an answer for them? Is there a workaround we can use? Cheers Richard |

| 123488 | 2003-02-25 01:20:00 | Hi Richard: Has this worked with MusicMatch previously, or is it a new problem? From what I see on a Google search, the Compaq MP3 Player uses RioPort software supplied with the player, to transfer mp3's from any location on your PC HDD, via USB to the player. I have a Rio player which transfers in a similar way using the Rio software. I did notice however, there may be a problem using RioPort with WinXP. Information and a fix for this is here: www.usb-drivers.com Good luck.. |
