The 12 story building is an apartment block, housing 200 people, I will be using WEP as well as other forms of authentication (TBA).

123833 2003-02-25 23:25:00 The "WEP" (wire-equivalent-protection?) is apparently totally insecure. It was cracked in a very short time. Graham L (2)

The WEP key is able to be uncovered by using a traffic sniffing program. But from talking to a friend of mine, I can tell you that at least 2gb (yes, thats right) needs to be sniffed before the WEP key can be broken.

Well that's ok then, a password change once a week should keep the network reasonably secure.

123837 2003-02-26 07:08:00 I think you'll need to put in the key on the computers that connect. So you'd have to go round all the PCs once a week. -=JM=- (16)
