123521 2003-02-24 10:45:00 New viruses come out on a daily basis. Some are minor with minimal distribution, others are major and spread like wild fire (eg the Love Bug virus caused major damage world wide within 24 hours).

Anti-virus programs work a bit like innoculations. You can only innoculate against bugs that are already in existence - not ones that come out tomorrow, next week or next month.

Update your virus definitions weekly. (I use Nortons which checks their web site every few hours and downloads any updates automatically. I don't know if AVG does this or not.)

I think its Windows 95 or Windows ME. Anyway, it used to belong to my boss. I have just rung him, and he says it does the clunking noise every now and again, so is coming round tomorrow, as he knows what to do to fix it,. Thanks for your help everyone
