123617 2003-02-24 21:21:00 i dont know if u can but i am sure u can purchase through a well known mobile phone website......like telecom or vodafone...www.telecom.co.nz or www.vodafone.co.nz

or u could always use some fresh air and go for a drive/walk down to the nearest store...

if ur looking at 2nd hand phones...cash converters are good...

it basically depends what ur actually looking for...coz every phone can suit various needs...texting? contract-specific call amounts etc and WAP-ability...and so on...

i've not done anything on trademe.co.nz as i'm trying not to start webshopping coz i know if i do...then i'll never stop lol...but i am sure their reputation is good enuf to know they aint dodgy...u could contact someone thru them if u need more comfort in knowing u can purchase with safety and comfort of geting what ur expecting 2 get.....

good luck with ur choices...

i have to say..theres some specials on in dicks smith/noel leemings and bond/bond of cellphones..so mmm just depends on what ur after,...

123618 2003-02-24 21:29:00 Sites like trademe are usually very well respected.. Even with bad trades (Check a previous thread I made on a trademe deal gone bad), they're usually 'bad' simply because of lack of communication.

Ask the seller if you have any questions about it, what might be wrong, or 'not 100% perfect' about it, whythey're selling it.

Check their ratings too.. If they've got a lot of :( ratings, then be careful with the trade.

Just check the sellers background, and be prepared to pay within 2 days usually.. this keeps everybody happy

If you're really worried.. use safetrader, however, I sold a laptop to a first time buyer on trademe for $550, and he was happy not to use safetrader. It took him 1 day (next day) to get the money transferred.. I posted that day, and he received it within 2 days. Both happy...

Just check their ratings really :-)

If in doubt, then dont.. to be on the safe side if you're worried ;-)
