2003-02-24 02:20:00 | It just keeps appearing: eepro100: wait_for_cmd_done timeout! Ive got an onboard EtherExpress Pro 100 I believe, but why does it start appearing, sometimes it'll keep coming up, other times it'll come up once or twice.... What's it mean and how do I stop it? Thanks Chilling_Silence

2003-02-24 09:25:00 | yes, but nothing that would appear to lead to the NIC failure or the likes.. | Chilling_Silence (9) | |
2003-02-24 09:42:00 | I think I got the same message when my POS soundcard started to die. Is the NIC still working?

2003-02-24 09:54:00 | Err.. Its onboard, and I think so. It's currently in a Small Form Factor case, and Ive got one ISA port free, so I could try installing an old 10MBPS card if I can find one lying around somewhere. Any other things it may be? (BTW - This is totally un-related to my other post - Two different PC's)!

2003-02-25 02:12:00 | Well, it means that it has been waiting for a "cmd-done" event. The event hasn't been triggered within the time limit, so it gives a message. I think that you might have got that far. :D To get rid of the message, fix the hardware.:D Since it's a network device that means either the cable or the card, or, less likely, the other end of the cable.
