| 124235 | 2003-02-26 21:37:00 | Greetings, Having just bought a pc with MS Works on it I was wondering if MS Office XP can also be installed on it without probs. Certain features from Works (i.e. Standard Encyclopedia) I like to keep but it would be nice to have Excel as well. Any positive feedback welcome. Thanks and regards. Guy |

Only possible potential problem that I can see is if Works is set to read .doc files. Installing Office may override this automatically otherwise it's an easy manual change. |

I would imagine that the newer versions would be the same so you should be able to install and use them even without Works. |
