124224 2003-02-26 19:36:00 According to Paul Holmes minutes ago on the radio, pixelate is a word found in the dictionary as far back as 1840 which means to be tormented by Pixies! Couldn't find it in my dictionary, can anyone else find it in theirs? Danger (287)
124225 2003-02-27 02:04:00 My dictionaries have this:

pixilated:
1. eccentric or whimsical
2. drunk :D

pixilated:
1. eccentric, daft, puckish, etc
2. drunk

Both from Collins Concise English Dictionary, different publishing dates.

124227 2003-02-27 02:37:00 Well, someone was going to do it!

Dictionary.com sez (dictionary.reference.com):

"pixilated:

adj 1: naughtily or annoyingly playful; "teasing and worrying with impish laughter" [syn: impish, implike, mischievous, prankish, puckish] 2: slang for `drunk' [syn: besotted, blind, blind drunk, blotto, crocked, fuddled, loaded, pissed, plastered, potty, slopped, sloshed, smashed, soaked, soused, sozzled, squiffy, stiff, tiddly, tiddley, tight, tipsy, wet]"

Spose you could say that one was being tormented by pixies if one were pixilated. Not pixelated though.

124228 2003-02-27 02:42:00 Ah - more googling later:

"pixilated (whatis.techtarget.com):

Also see pixelation (whatis.techtarget.com), which is unrelated.
Pixilated, an adjective derived from pixie (a fairy elf), describes someone who is whimsical or bemused, slightly drunk (tipsy), or, according to Webster's, "somewhat unbalanced mentally."

Why that is defined at whatis.com is beyond me!

124229 2003-02-27 03:23:00 Pixelated - when someone has digitally increased the size of an image too far. -=JM=- (16)
124230 2003-02-27 03:28:00 >2: slang for `drunk' [syn: besotted, blind, blind drunk, blotto, crocked, fuddled, loaded, pissed, plastered, potty, slopped, sloshed, smashed, soaked, soused, sozzled, squiffy, stiff, tiddly, tiddley, tight, tipsy, wet]"<

Sounds like "pickeled", or maybe it should be "pixiled".
