| 124624 | 2003-02-28 00:20:00 | A friend has just asked me to look at her computer which all of a sudden will not start. It is an HP Pavilion 63?? running Win98SE (I think) When you turn it in you get the splash screen and then it runs McAfee (no virus found) but then errors. It shows a time 00:01 and simply hangs. I went in using Safe Mode but this returned an error that said "divide overflow error" and then it hung too! She doesn't appear to have been given a recovery disk!! Any ideas on where to from here would be appreciated (NB: She no longer lives in the same city where it was purchased from) Thanks |
