| 124588 | 2003-02-27 22:40:00 | Please can anyone tell me why our computer is always jamming up.It comes up with but not always an illegal operation has been performed.We have to shut it down completely. This has been happening more and more.The comp is 3 years old and was bought from the P.C.. Company. Maybe we need to replace parts but how do we know what to replace? Thanks |

| 124590 | 2003-02-27 23:45:00 | In addition to what Jams asked for, which operating system are you using as this can have a bearing, other information about your system, is it happening when using any specific program(s), if so, which programs bring up the error, and of course what information if any is provided with the Illegial Operation box. Some quick common things to look at. Have you defragged and Scandisked your hard drive in more recent times. Not a cure all for every error but it can sometimes help. Are you running any adware detection programs such as Adaware6 or Spybot, if not download and run one or both of them and see what they cough up. |
