| 124564 | 2003-02-27 11:12:00 | I'm at CPIT (http://www.cpit.ac.nz) at the moment and we don't seem to have roaming profiles (let alone fixed ones) on the computer network which is mainly XP clients with a Novell server. Now when I sit at one there are some things I want to do..... I could put up with not doing it, but it makes the time on the computer not so nice. I like to adjust resolution (1024*768) and to increase the speed of the mouse. Also moving items on the desktop would be nice. If I try to run [i]regedit[/url] I get a message saying that I'm not allowed to edit the reigistry (or similar). So I'm picking that a .REG file wouldn't work either. Anything anyone can think of that could help do the trick? |

The system administrator may have left a backdoor - all you have to do is find it and ensure it is a backdoor and not a trapdoor. Also attempts to access restricted areas are usually audited with alerts either logged or sent immediately to an administrator. There are methods - none of them legal - but wait here long enough someone here will suggest something. |
