| 124477 | 2003-02-27 09:26:00 | Somthing has changed in my computer that has removed the link to the Control Panel and backdoor approaches to individual items put up a Restricion in the system notice. I have win ME. Those little gnomes have at it again. It looks like an administrator priviledge scenario so how do I get out of it. System restore is also blocked. | Waldorf (471) | ||

Then navigate your way down to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\ Policies\Explorer And delete the "NoControlPanel" value on the right hand side Close regedit and restart the PC and you should be away again. |

| 124484 | 2003-02-27 21:05:00 | Not sure how it may have happened. The only reseason I know how to fix it is because I once used TweakUI and used the option to 'disable Control Panel in My Computer' and on the Start Menu and this then disabled all access to any control panel stuff! Hence I could not back into TweakUI to reenable these! Had to do a bit of searching and found the fix. |
