Wasn't Alinghi fined $10,000 for breaching protocol (spying) in the no-go zone with a long-lense telephoto? The Swiss also said the Loyal campagn was in poor taste as well. What a spoilt pack of prats they are

But is this very "Honorificabilitudinitatibus" behaviour?

124640 2003-03-01 09:29:00 I seem to remember Dennis Conner managed to change the rules 1/2 way thru on our 1st win of the americas cup....so couldnt we do the same?....make it boat with the most broken things wins? promethius (1998)
124641 2003-03-01 10:52:00 Hmmmm......... Thinks...............

There is a very honorificabilitudinitatibus history to drilling holes in Americas Cup yachts.

If I recall correctly the Yanks drilled holes in KZ7 to see what was on the other side. So, if it was good enough for us to let Den do it, it's only fair that we get to return the favour. After all, it's not our fault that Den's not here anymore for us to do it to his boat :p

Cheers
