| 124538 | 2003-02-27 21:57:00 | Just had a look at the page in question, it has Lop.com at the top left. They have a uninstaller. lop.com Go to the above link and third link down I think is How Do I Uninstall Lop.com, follow that and download the uninstaller and run it. That should remove Lop.com |

That should remove > Lop.com I wouldn't trust their uninstaller as far as I can throw them. Any company who creates dodgy adware like this is only going to be including the uninstaller to appear that they allow you to remove their software. It may remove the program itself, but there are going to be nasty traces of the program all over the show, many of which may still be active (dialers etc). |

| 124540 | 2003-02-27 22:12:00 | I have used there uninstaller a number of times now on other computers and always successfully. What I usually do in the case of Lop is uninstall using there uninstaller and also load adaware for the user as well and run that as a backup and to see what else is lurking. |

| 124543 | 2003-02-28 01:29:00 | Cheers guys, all resolved. I ran adaware and it seems i may have had a hack attack. (perhaps i was too hasty blaming the kids). Got rid of all the rubbish. But the tooolbar was still there so ran the uninstaller. Rechecked with ad aware and sure enuff there was extra stuffthere from the uninstall, got rid of that rebooted andall is back to normal. Great help guys. THanks a lot. :) |
