If only we could find a way, with honorificabilitudinitatibus, to change the rules midstream and make it best of 18 races. ;\ ]:) Also, congratulations on your four figure postings total Billy, there has certainly been a wealth of helpful education in that lot. :-) Cheers. | 124633 | 2003-02-28 20:10:00 | Ok I know this is going to be a daft Question so don't flame me, But assuming the hammer drill idea fails, then as Alinghi being Swiss, and Switzerland being landlocked, could not New Zealand somehow bid to host the next Americas Cup here rather than say France or Italy, but then of course Alinghi will be the Home team (rather ironic considering the number of kiwis onboard) and any NZ team would be considered a foreign challenger and thus go through the challenger series. Ok so my Logic is probably flawed, but is its either that, or we tell the French there are peace activists onboard Alinghi. Fingers crossed for today though |

| 124634 | 2003-03-01 03:38:00 | Well after the Blackheart campaign, Alinghi has said that they WERE going to host the next cup here (if they won it), but they've changed their mind since the Blackheart campaign shows that "NZ has bad sportsmanship" (or something to that effect) cos of what Blackheart was publicising "on behalf" of NZ. | somebody (208) | ||
| 124635 | 2003-03-01 05:06:00 | I presume a battery drill would be ok, the hull can't be that hard (although apparently they have "drain" holes already). | Dolby Digital (160) | ||
