124918 2003-03-01 22:29:00 Hi there!

I know this is a common question asked alot, but to make a long story short, I already know how to convert Wav - Mp3! So no discussion there...

Okay, my question is though, what equipment do I need? To start off, I need a stereo, sound card, speakers...got all that and a wave editor too.... or some sort.

Now, do I need some special RCA cables? I've been following the info from Nero and it appears that there is a RCA cable - red, white, + miniplug.

Is this the real reason, I'm not able to record any sound successfully to my computer?

I've already, had a browse through Dick Smith catalogue book, but saw something similar, but the RCA cable were (sockets) not (plugs). Has anyone got this and if so how much did it cost?

thanks

124919 2003-03-01 22:52:00 The cable required is a very common audio cable:

3.5mm stereo plug to 2 x RCA plugs.

It is avaiable from Dick Smiths Cat. C1240.

Thanks. Will write this down.

Will try copying audio from tape again. It doesn't seem to be easy as it looks though.......

Cheers

124921 2003-03-02 08:38:00 Hi Student: Like most things it is easy when you know how.

I've recordered mp3's & burn't to CD audio, from several sources, like tape, radio, vcr,cd, vinyl, etc, with good results.

Give me a call if you would like more information.

Cheers.
