125390 2003-03-04 01:36:00 Yes they are completly free
most of them are limited (crippled) in some way, so to get the full version you will have to buy it. (or you could be sneaky and download the full version off kazaa !! ;))
but yes the demos are free.

125394 2003-03-04 03:42:00 Yea...the demos on PCworld mag are great!...I brought a different mag called PCHome (it's UK based I think...) and it sed it had 2 "fully working" mp3 mixing programs...but they turned out to be demos...gotta hate that... promethius (1998)
125395 2003-03-04 04:03:00 Yeah I hate it when the mag says they are fully working programs or says nothing and you download them only to find that they will only work for a month and then you have to buy them. I understand that the program makers want to make a buck, but it would be nice if the mag would advise you before you download them that they are not free indefinatly, cos as soon as I have to pay any money for a program, its no good to me, as I can't afford them. Well I can, but I'm a tight buzzard! And I have better things to spend my money on, and can usually find a free program somewhere. Danger (287)
125396 2003-03-04 04:13:00 PCW do offer some full programs on their CD, that arent crippled with no expiry date, although sometimes this means an online reg. before a certain date :-) Chilling_Silence (9)
