125215 2003-03-03 06:16:00 I use full Outlook 98 at work and needed to send a very small "jpg" file (about 200k) to a number of people, both on our own interconnected network and also external people around New Zealand.

The problem - I "inserted" the jpg file in my message, it displayed on my screen and then I sent the message.
Everyone got the message BUT without the inserted picture.
I resent the message with the jpg as an attachment and everyone got it.

The original message in my sent folder displayed the inserted jpg file as still being there, no problems.

The people at the other end had a mixture of "Outlooks" some 97, some 98, some Outlook Express v5 and so on. But all did not get the jpg. About 50% of them were on our own internal network, the rest external.

What am I doing wrong or could someone suggest a way to trace it?

Thanks for any help.

125216 2003-03-03 06:29:00 By memory this usually works a treat. What i think my have gone wrong is what image was inserted. If it decided to show the image located at C:\your-local-computers\drive\images\x.jpg only you could see it.

Check the message and check the source.

Your second way is of course the most universal way of sending an attachment.. Some of us detest html mail. I got a 13 Mb html mail message about a month ago, and my rubbish computers just refused to open it, both in OE, and Kmail.
As seperate attachments there would have been no problem seeing the pics.
