| 125262 | 2003-03-03 11:36:00 | My 12 year old son has a 3 year old HP Pavilion 8509 that locks up when on the net or just using a program. It seems to do this after surfing through several web sites and when he is using a memory hungry program i.e. a game or graphics programs. His friend has a computer the same and the same thing is happening to his also. Would this be the CPU or the motherboard? How can I check to see if these are working properly? |

Restarting the computer after playing games etc, will reset all the computer recouces. a program called ramidle can control the usage. for defraging either degrag in safe mode or you could try this: www.mediahorizon.net power defrag lite. its a good idea, to keep the computer clean of rubbish, by cleaning out temp folder, cookies, webpage folder, and history. good luck, Robby |
