| 125542 | 2003-03-04 10:45:00 | I've run out of storage space on my Samsung 40GB drive and am looking at grabbing a 80GB Barracuda V (www.seagate.com) to plonk into my Windows/Linux Box, the main factor being that they are cheap (just under $200 Inc GST). Does anyone have Opinions/Comments on these drives? Cheers Liam |

| 125545 | 2003-03-04 18:22:00 | I have a 40GB Seagate Barracuda IV and I am very pleased with it - it is very quiet and fairly fast as well. | flyer590 (2523) | ||

Lo. |

| 125551 | 2003-03-04 20:30:00 | I've seen a lot of barracudas die. I suspect that they be the dodgy drives dumped on the third world countries like um... NZ. Non barracuda seagates on the other hand seem fine! .Clueless |
