| 126019 | 2003-03-06 10:07:00 | Hi Im thinking of buying a digital camera (Nikon 5700). It requires a USB port to transfer the files to the computer. However both of my usb1.1 ports are used up (plus they are on the back of the computer which is hard to get to). So im thinking of getting a USB 2.0 add in card with front USB ports, however the specifications of the camera say it only works on inbuilt usb ports. Is this correct? And why is this? Hope you can help |

Putting the rest on a hub would be a pain as I would need to reach around the back of the computer to connect the usb cable for the camera. Does anybody know the cheapest place for a usb add in card with front usb ports? Thanks for your help |

I still don't get you, just plug the camera cable in and leave it plugged in, just use the camera end of the USB cable to plug and un-plug, or get a self powered hub, I use one and have my camera, scanner and printer and a card reader all hanging off the one hub with no problems at all even when using more than one of those devices. |
