126005 2003-03-06 10:00:00 How do I copy selections from music CDs to a CD - RW disc. I can burn to CD-R discs OK. I use InCD. I have Nero 5.5.10.7b installed and Win 98SE, 512 RAM and 1Gb speed.
Thanks guys.

126006 2003-03-06 11:51:00 What do you want to play them on?

If you want Nero to convert them to audio tracks to play on a stereo, it will not work unless you have a very late model staereo designed for CDRW (older ones dont recognise the disk)

Otherwise just use the nero wizard to transfer the files?

126007 2003-03-06 22:33:00 Do CD-RW's need formatting if they've been used by InCD first if you're making them into Audio CD's, or does it sorta over-write it as it goes? Chilling_Silence (9)
126008 2003-03-06 23:11:00 Thanks godfather. From what you tell me it would be a waste of time burning for older stereos. I don't use wizard but I shall certainly try this to see how I go and report back. I appreciate your contribution. God bless. dumb-bell (3303)
126009 2003-03-06 23:24:00 Good question Chilling_Silence. I think this is where I got into a problem. I had formatted in InCD then tried to over-write in Audio. I came unstuck and had to reformat. I think staying with CD-R is about all I can get my old mind around. Then I have to ask the question 'Why use CD RW for music'? Many thanks for your input.
God bless.

126010 2003-03-06 23:59:00 No, I dont use the Wizards either.

CD-RW's are mainly only readable on very new drives, be it PC or Stereo's!

Stick with CD-R's, its about a dollar a CD at DSE for the Melody ones and they're great, so why not!?!!

126011 2003-03-08 01:31:00 Hi

Have had success playing mp3's burnt as audio to Transonic 700MB 12x CDR media (cheap) on an old Pioneer stereo system (bout 8-9 yrs) using Nero 5.5(78) in wizard mode. As stated will probably depend on the CD player.

Didn't waste any disks but you may have to be willing to experiment to find what works.

Cheers
