125989 2003-03-06 09:51:00 Hello

I want to set-up a forum like this one. (Or like a phpbb or some near like it)

Does any one know of any "free" "(with out pop up ads but I don’t mind) web hosts,

which are in NZ or NZ based or overseas (don’t mind either way.)

Which I can set up a forum on it like this one??

It might also need too ffer ourname.theredomanname.co.nz ??? Or some near like that.

Hope you can help.

Note: it needs a ok amount of disk space/ bandwidth
& if you not too sure about a hosting compay just post the link to it here and i will check it out ;)

125990 2003-03-06 09:57:00 www.neopages.net, used by Sal and various other people. PHP. Can build a forum for it, or download one. agent (30)
125991 2003-03-06 09:58:00 There are two main free forums. Well these are the best ones in my opinion anyway.

www.snitz.com and http:

The first is ASP based and the second is php based. You can run them at dotnetplayground or lycos uk.

125992 2003-03-06 20:13:00 if all your looking for is web space to use for a forum, then maybe a remotely hosted forum would be a better alternative. this is where people offer 'free forums' instead of straight out webspace. there are a lot of good ones around, which dont run ads, etc (as far as i know) one i can honestly suggest would be the invision powerboard. its features outshine even subscription forum software, such as vbulletin, etc,

invisionfree >> http://www.invisionfree.com/

another would be ikonboard, which has recently been ported to php from cgi

ikonboard > www.myikonboard.com

heres a list, of which most im sure would run ads (there are a few gems in there though),
